I purchased this about 6 months ago, and although I like how it functions I gave away my other aerator/pourer), it isn't holding up. The breathing holes are puckering, pulling away from the structure. Sometimes causes blockage. It looks as if it were heated in a dishwasher, though we don't have one. I'm going to try to exchange it, hoping mine was simply defective.

I love the wine finer. This is my second one, because I accidentally through the first one out with an empty bottle. Be careful! It did take one month to receive this product. Ordered on 5/3, received on 6/3. Winestuff said it was damaged (2 different times) by UPS, so they finally sent it USPS.

It looks to me as though there is a flat-topped wine finer, which has a pouring spout (that's part of the function of the wine finer!). It's the *cover* to the spout that spout that is flat-topped, so that the covered fits into the carry case.There is another model of wine finer that has a cover with a 3D ornament on top. That's what doesn't fit into the case.So -- if you want the fancy finer, don't get the case. If you want a finer with a case, get the flat-topped one. With either finer, you'll have a pouring spout!!
