The wine toppers work great and close off the wine from leaking out of the bottle. The top of the wine topper pushes down like a lever and pushes out rubber to create a seal in bottle opening. Doesn't spill or leak out. Awesome and looks great!

The way that these stoppers work is that you push the lever down, which pulls up a peg on the side, which squishes a long rubber stopper, which makes a tight seal. Unfortunately, this particular model doesn't pull it up very far and the stopper is already too small. The end result is a poor seal. They're serviceable and I still use them if other stoppers are already in use (Note: I bought new stoppers the week after I bought these), but they are very poor quality. Also they do not work at all for beer bottles.

Our previous wine bottle stoppers broke apart. These seem more solid. Very useful to have around. They don't work on those unfinished boxes of wine, though... ;)
