The Colonna Capper and Corker is made of heavy-duty plastic and the capping/growning action is gear-driven for easy bottling. Comes with both 28mm and 30mm bell housings for capping. This is a well-built corker that is easy to use - even when using the larger Belgian-style corks, the components stayed in place and it never required excessive force. The plastic is thick, the construction is solid, and I'm confident it will last awhile.The only major flaw is that the instructions are... lacking. I had to search YouTube to figure out how to get it working well (the trick is to reset the starting position of the plunger arm so that the plunger is able fully expel the cork - this adjustment is very easy and does not require any tools). However, this is only frustrating for the first 2-3 bottles (use empties to practice!) and has the upside of being very adjustable to fit many different bottle sizes. Since that was a simple fix (and do mostly to my own stupidity) and the product is otherwise great, I didn't feel that that merited demotion to 4 stars (but be prepared for some mild frustration when setting it up).As a caveat, I haven't used it to cork wine, nor have I used it as a capper, but it makes caging and corking specialty beers a breeze.

We LOVE Midwest Homebrewing and anything they sell. Our friends used to lend us theirs so we finally go our own. We have another corker we like better but for capping, this is the best. When we make wine we bottle a lot in beer bottles so I don't have to have a whole bottle of wine ;)
