I've never purchased a floor corker before, so admittedly I am limited in my experience regarding other makes and models, however, I cannot imagine a product better than this one. It is extremely easy to use, and makes corking bottles a breeze. It's almost a little too fun using this thing. Very sturdy construction and frame. I do know that there is a more expensive make and model for $150.00 but I would NOT spend the extra money. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that needs to bottle a lot of wine.

This corker is as good as it looks in the picture. Very high quality and goes together easily. One screw holds the cross leg piece on and you are ready to start corking. Setting the depth on the cork is also easily done. What I also found amazing is I ordered this from Winemakers Depot after lunch on Thursday, and I received it in the mail the very next day! Talk about service!!

After dismissing hand held corkers as inexpensive, but inadequate, I turned to investigating floor models. This corker was (relatively) inexpensive, and looked like it was reasonably sturdy. I had used other corkers, larger than this one, which required one to keep a foot on the base when corking, to steady the device. That was not necessary with this one. It's compact size belies its sturdiness. Yesterday, I used it to bottle 15 cases of homemade wine. The bottles centered effortlessly and nearly instantly on the corker, and the force on the lever required for corking was not excessive at all! As a minor complaint, the adjustment nut on the plunger tended to wiggle loose, and required occasional re-adjustment to keep the cork depth consistent. This could easily be remedied by adding a lock nut above the existing nut.Overall, I don't think you could find a better corker for the money.
