Preserving half-empty bottles of champagne is essentially a race against time, but this little gadget helps safeguard those bubbles for at least a little longer. Fitting snugly over most openings, the champagne stopper features chrome-plated steel construction and two hinged arms that fold down and lock into place. Before locking, the circular rubber center should be placed over the bottle opening and pressure should be applied to push the bottle lip into the gadget’s belly. This little product is great for the occasional champagne drinker, it clamps over the opening keeping the fizzy in your bubbly until your deady to come back to it. I have found that due to the stopper can be used to re-seal a bottle about three times before there simply is not enough carbination left to re-presurize the bottle, but this little tool lets you put away your champange and have it still be good when you come back to it.

It never seems like this stopper is strong enough to actually stay on the bottle but somehow it always does and it does a terrific job preserving the bubbles. We have another one of a different design (twist thing that expands in the bottle). That one is easier to use but this one keeps the bubbles in much better. We went on a week long vacation and left a half empty bottle of champagne in the fridge. When we came back, it was hard to tell we hadn't just opened a new bottle. We were impressed.
